NEWS IN BRIEF.
A message from Fresno, California, reports that ten persons were killed and twenty-one injured by a snowslide at Big Creek, 75 miles cast of Fresno.
Five days of continuous fog has resulted in an almost complete dislocation of London’s shipping business, a cablegram states. The P. and O. liner Mooltau left Tilbury Dock on Saturday for Australia, bu* was compelled to anchor below Gravesend, where she lies with her passengers aboard, including Princess Beatrice, who is bound for Gibraltar. A similar fate attended many other vessels. The Mooltau’s mails will be delayed at least three days, for even if she is able to leave to-night, she cannot depart from Marseilles before Monday.
