FAT SHEEP SALE. GOOD PRICES FOR SHOW STOCK. The customary sale of animals entered in the respective fat sheep and fcrezing classes of the Masterton Show, took place yesterday afternoon. Mr. J. C Broad officiated with the hammer on behalf of Messrs Dalgety and Co., who conducted the sale for the association. Competition was very spirited, and the prices obtained were well in favour of vendors when compared with those ruling at recent markets. In the fat sheep class Mr. G. H. Perry topped the market with a pen of crossbred lambs which realised 40s, while the same breeder gained second highest price of 34s witn a similar line of stock. Among the fat sheep entries, Mr. AV. F. McLaren secured top price of 36s for a pen of lambs and the same figure for a pen of fat ewes. Following is the price list: — FREEZING SHEEP. Ewes over four years suitable for breeding fat lambs.
