HOSPITAL BOARD.
MEETING OF CENTRAL COMMITTEE. PATIENTS UNDER TREATMENT. The monthly meeting of the Central Committee of the Wairarapa Hospital Board _was held on Monday, Mr. W. Fisher presiding. There were also present: Messrs S. Bolton, T. V. Moore, Arch. Clark, H. H. Mawlev and Phil Pike. The treasurer’s statement of receipts and payments for the month of January disclosed a credit balance on general account of £2314 10s Id and special funds deposited in the Post Office Savings Bank amounted to £2301 Ils Id. Accounts totalling £2540 Us 4d were passed for payment. The receipts for the month included the * following items: Government subsidy on levies, £3805 6s 4d; patients’ fees, Masterton Hospital, £468 8s sd; Greytown Hospital, £156 Jis 8d; Pahiatua Hospital, £lO6 4s lOd; old age pensions, Buchanan Home, £6l 12s 3d, and Solway Home, £34 2s 6d. The following is the return of patients for the month of January: Masterton Hospital, admissions 86, discharge- 91. deaths 5, remaining at end of month 75; Greytown Hospital, 30, 31, 1. 13; Pahiatua Hospital, 24, 24, 1, .12; Buchanan Home, 4,0, 2, 29. The average number of patients under treatment daily were: Masterton Hospital 71, Greytown Hospital 19, Pahiatua Hospital 14, Buchanan Home 28, which i together with 12 persons domiciled at : Solway Homo makes a total of 144 per- ' sons maintained in the board’s institutions dally throughout th<? month.
