THE Wairarapa Age MORNING DAILY. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 1927. A POPULAR SHOW.
To-morrow will witness the opening of what promises to be one of the most successful shows ever promoted by the Masterton A. and P. Association. Looking over the catalogue, copies of which will be on sale to-day, plenty of evidence will be found of the popularity of the Show, and the enterprise with which it is organised and conducted. It is already known that entries are exceptionally numerous. Save in 1923, this year’s total of 2274 entries has not been, surpassed for many years past. A very fine display of stock is promised, and in particular such entries of fat stock as will speak volumes for the productivity of the Wairarapa and the progress of farming industry within its borders.
In the competition classes, there are such entries as have not been witnessed for many years past. On Opening Day as well as on People’s Day, there will be a full range of interesting events, and the officials of the association arc entitled to claim that on both days full provision has been made for the entertainment of the public. The industrial sections, including a comprehensive display of motor vehicles, also promise to he exceptionally interesting. There is no doubt that the Show this year will in every way maintain its established reputation as a representative display of the products of primary industry and as a great gathering centre ' at which people from town and country and from near and far afield may meet to renew acquaintances and exchange ideas.
