CARTERTON SALE. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on |he Carterton sale as follows: A' medium yarding of sheep and a small entry of pigs and cattle were submitted to a small attendance of buyers. Competition was very slack with a poor demand throughout the sale. Sales were effected at the following prices: 4 and 6-th wethers, 19/2; small 2-th wethers, 14/; aged ewes, 11/7, 9/ to 5/; weamer pigs, 14/; mixed 2-year cattle, £3. The AViairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association Ltd., report: A small yarding came forward at the Carterton sale, the competition being dull through out. AVe quote: Fat heifers, £2 16/, £4 2/ to £5 13/6; fat cows, £4 to £4 7/6; Jersey heifers, £3 18/; cow and veal er, £3* Jersey heifers, r.w. Jersey bull, £3; weaner pigs, 15/ to 17/; slips, 10/6, 13/, 16/ to lb/; porkers, 32/6; light baconers, £2 9/; poultry hens, 1/3 to 1/8; rooster, 2/2.
BO VIANDS CLEARING SALE. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report: We held a most successful clearing sal® in conjunction, with the New Zealand' Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., on behalf of the trustees of the Estate of the late Mr. A. J. Percy and Mr O. J. Percy. Including some outside entries, over 6000 sheep were yarded and xie have to report a very good sale. There was a very good attendance of buyers from all parts of the Wairarapa and a total clearance was effected at very satisfactory rates. Young ewes brought up to 25/ r and fourycar ewes up to 2S/6. The white face woolly ewe lambs made up to 15/7, and the wether lambs up to 16/4. Store 2 land 4-th wethers also made good values, selling at prices ranging from 19/ to 22/. The following are our prices: 2-th wethers, 18/ to 20/; 1.-th wethers, 21/ to 22/; 2-th ewes, 19/3 to 20/; 4th ewes, 24/4; 6-th owes, 25/; 4-year ewes, 20/3 to 22/6; m.a. ewes, .12/6 to 15/; w.f. ewe lambs, 15/7; small, .10/9; w.f. ( wether lambs, 15/4; small, 10/6; b.f.'lambs, 16/ to 17/6; b.f. 2-ths, 19/4 to 20/6; cull ewes, 6/ to 8/. On account of Mr. J. AV. Falloon, 2 and 4th wethers, 20/ to 22/. On account Mr F. B. Vallance, w.f. shorn lambs, 14/.
