WEDDINGS.
DAKEN—MORGAN. Ajjretty wedding took place in the St. Matthew’s Church on Wednesday, February 2, when Elizabeth Morgan third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Morgan, Newcastle-on-Tyne, England, was married to Archie Daken, third son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Daken, of Mount. Bruce. The Rev. Bullock officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Thornton, was attired in shell pink crepe de chine, with silver trimmings and the orthodox wreath and veil. Miss R. Aattree, who attended the brides as bridesmaid, wore a frock of lavender crepe de chine, with gold to tone. Mr. Ivan Daken, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. A reception was afterwards held at the residence of Mrs. Thornton, Michael Street. The happy couple left .for the south on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a pretty gown of brown ma.rocain, with hat and shoes to match. DUMBLETON—MORTON. At St. Paul’s pro-Cathedral, Wellington, on Wednesday evening, the wedding took place of Marjorie, only daughter of the late W. H. Morton and Mrs. Morton, of Kelburn, to Eric Vernon Dumbleton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dumbleton, of Nireaha, Wairarapa. The bride was attended by Misses Jessie Aitken and Marjorie Liardet as bridesmaids. Mr. Alan Free acted as best man, and Mr. Charles Pope as groomsman. Mr. Bernard Page played the organ for the ceremony, which was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon Johnson. After the ceremony a reception was held by Mrs Morton at her home. HARDING—COOPER. The marriage to6k place ?*.t the Basilica, Hill Street, WeHing-lon, on Wednesday night, of Miss Brirta Cooper, daughter of Mrs. Ormond Cooper, of Kelburn, and Mr. Robert Ellis Harding, son of Dr. and Mrs. Harding, of Petone, and grandson of the late Dr. Harding, an old Wellington identity. 'The church was decorated for the occasion in tones of pink and blue, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Smyth. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. George Ormond Cooper. The bridesmaids were her sister, Miss Naianei Cooper, Miss Dorothy Martin, Miss Sally Williams, and Miss Janet Valentine. The bridegroom was attended *oy Mr. Jack Harding as best man, and Messrs A. R. Cooper, G. Coleman-Phillips, and Peter Johnstone as groomsmen. After the ceremony Mrs. Ormond Cooper held a reception at the Adelphi Cabaret. CURRY—QUINN. A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church yesterday morning, the Rev. Father Uhlenberg officiating, when Miss Eileen Quinn, of Masterton, was married to Mr. D. B. Curry, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Curry, of Masterton. Miss Margaret Hogan acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. Arch. Curry as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Park Kiosk.
