MASTERTON CLUB. RINKS TO PLAY FEATHERSTON. The following rinks representing the Masterton Bowling Club have been selected to play Featherston on Saturday:— ' At home: Wilkinson, Hayne, Nelson, Franks, (s). Cress well, Thompson, Chapman, C. Perry (s). McLean, Rcnfali, Maxwell. Lawrence (s). Away: Lett, Welch, W. Hendry, ■'Faulknor (s). Blewitt, McKenzie, Neilsen, McCalden (s). Reid, Richards, Henderson, Baskiville (s). VETERAN SINGLES. Recently D. Finlayson, aged 80, a veteran bowler of the Park Club, issued a challenge to play any veteran of tho Masterton Club. J. Wingate, aged 00, accepted the challenge, and the match 'took place on the Park green on Tuesday afternoon. Finlayson started well and obtained the lead, 1 ut the older veteran, Wingate, after picking up the .green, got into his stride, and went to the front, and won by 2G points to 13. Finlayson is not downhearted, and has issued another challenge to play the. Masterton veteran to-morrow afternoon on the Masterton Club’s green.
