PRICES MAINTAINED. STRONG CONTINENTAL DEMAND. CHRISTCHURCH, February 9. The third wool sale of the Christchurch series commenced to’-night, 9000 bales being sold. The wool was generally in good condition and sold up to the prices of the Timatu sale. Threequarterbred sold a penny better than the last Christchurch sale, and a shade in advance of Timaru prices. A good deal of threc-quarterbred made 13Ad to 14£d. Crossbred exceeded 12d, and half bred and Corriedale made 17|d to18$d. There was strong Continental demand.—(P.A.) THE SYDNEY MARKET. (Received Wednesday, 11.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 9. At the wool sales the market was fully equal to tho best point of the week. Comebacks met with an exceptionally strong demand.
