THE Wairarapa Age MORNING DAILY. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 1927. SUPPORTING THE SHOW.

Masterton people should respond readily to the appeal made yesterday by the president of and P. Association for whole-hearted support on the occasion of the, associationAnnual Show. The organisation of the Show imposes a vast amount of labour on the working members and officials of the association. The outside public may help in easier ways to make the

Show a complete and unqualified success. The people of Masterton no doubt are fully arive to the fact that the Show is an invaluable asset to the town, and that townspeople as well as farmers have a big stake in this great popular gathering and display of the results of primary industry. Directly and indirectly, the Show brings a great deal of trade and money to. Masterton. It is an invaluable means of keeping the town “on the map” and stimulating its business activities. It i« for the town as well as for people engaged on the land that the Show is developing apace and with excellent promise on what may be called its serious side—the side that is concerned with the encouragement of progress in primary industries. Townsfolk, as well as the people of the surrounding country districts should be eager to second the capable efforts by which the A. and P. Association is keeping the Show in the forefront of progress. An easy way of doing this is to make a point of visiting the beautiful Solway grounds while the Show is in progress. There is, of course, every indication that the Show will attract a very big attendance from Masterton and from many other parts of the district as well as from places further afield. Entries are excellent, not only in the stock classes, but in the various competitions which are always the centre of a great deal of popular interest. Given good weather, everything will favour such an attendance as will enable the Show to serve in full measure its purpose as an aid to the progress of rural industry and the advancement of the town and district.
