WOMEN’S DIVISION.
BRANCH FORMED AT IHUBAUA. FUNDS REQUIRED FOR WORK. Mrs. C. C. Jackson (vice-president and Dominion treasurer of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union) yesterday paid a visit to Ihuraua and met the ladies of the district to discuss the formation of a branch of the Women’s Division there. Mrs. Jackson placed the aims and objects of the division before the meeting, and mentioned the good work that had already been accomplished by the bush nurses and housekeepers. The objective this year was to obtain members and secure funds for the establishment of the bush nursing brigade. It was unanimously decided to form a branch of the Women’s Division. Mrs E. H. Dagg was elected president, and those present were set up a-s a commititee with power to add to their number.
