REVISING THE TARIFF.

THE COMMISSION AT WORK. AUCKLAND, February 7. The Tariff Commission has concluded its sitting at Auckland, and the Commissioners left to-day for Ohakune and Wellington. t The Commission has evidence daily for the past three weeks. The evidence received has been of a very informative and valuable character, and will be most useful to the Commission in the formulation of its report, which, it is expected, will be presented at the end of June.

A large number of importers, industrialists, and representatives of other sections of the community gave evidence. The members of tffb Commission visited several of the factories in the city and in the district, and gained first-hand information. The evidence was heard in camera, and will not be published.—(P.A.).
