TE KUITI MEETING. PEGAWAY WINS BIG EVENT. TE KUITI, February 7. The second day of the Te Kuiti meeting was held in fine weather. There was a good attendance. The totalisator figures for the day totalled £13,031, a decrease of £428-1 compared with last year, a total for the meeting of £28,464, a decrease of £7895 from last year. Maniapoto Hack.—3, Ballachulish, 1; 1, Town Guard, 2; 2, Air Queen 3. Scratched: Lady Cintra, Plane- Pearl. Won by a neck; one and a half lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 43 sec.
Mairoa Flying.—3, Quinette, 1; 2, lllingar, 2; 1, Miss Egypt, 3. The only starters. Won by half a length both ways. Time, Jmin 15 3-ssec.
