CAPTAIN WEDGWOOD BENN.
LEAVES BRITISH LIBERAL PARTY. (Received Sundav. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 4. Captain Wedgwood Benn, M.P., in a letter to the Liberal Association, proclaims himself a Socialist, and argups that the present industrial system has failed to provide the goodwill which is the mainspring of production. He declares that even the Conservatives are compelled by the facts to declare for national ownership, and adds that he intends to resign his seat. —(A. and N.Z.)
