TINUI SPORTS.
A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. SOME KEEN CONTESTS. (“The Age’’ Special). The Tinui Foresters’ Sports Club’s annual gathering was held in Mr. H. Bennett’s paddock on Saturday. The weather was tfine and there was a record attendance including many ijrom Masterton. Large entries were received fer the horse events and these wore kenly contested. It is to be regretted that the foot events did not draw larger entries, not one runner from Masterton competing. However, local competitors contested the events and there were some keen finishes. Mr. H. Bennet, as marshal, kept things moving, and the energetic secretary (Mr. Walter Laing) and his capable committee are to be congratulated on the manner in which the sports were controlled.
