THE Wairarapa Age MORNING DAILY. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 1926. SHOW ENTRIES.
Proof if it were needed that the Masterton A. and P. Association’s Annual Show is steadily growing in popularity may bo found in the entry figures which were published yesterday. Although there are some late entries still to come in, the figures already show a substantial increase on those of last year. Entries in practically all the principal classes have been at least well maintained, and in several classes the figures have been largely augmented. The big increase in sheep entries may be taken as evidence that the Show is effectively serving its purpose as an aid to progress in the main branches pf land industry. The accompanying large increase in horse and competition entries is of interest as suggesting that the day of the horse is not as completely over as some people are inclined to think. Entries in the new classes for pigs are small as yet, but no doubt will expand very considerably as time goes on. Viewed at large, the entry figures demonstrate that the enterprise brought to bear upon the administration of the magnificent grounds at Solway and upon the organisation. of the Show is producing tangible results. There is every indication that the impending Show will touch a very high standard of success end that it will attract a big influx of visitors.
