BOARDS MEET IN CONFERENCE.
ADVERTISING PROPOSALS.
PALMERSTON N., February
The annual conference of Secretaries and executive officers of power boards opened this morning, Air Charles Campbell, of Invercargill, presiding. Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P, president of the Power Boards’ Association, said that two subjects of special interest were advertising and insurance In his opinion they must carry on an extenwere advertising and insurance. In his hoped a special committee would be set up to have a scheme ready at an .early date. The president, in his report, summed up the position by saying that their common interest was to discover, first, means for greater efficiency; second, methods of securing more business; third, systems under which economies may be effected; and, fourth, generally to promote the development and progress of the functions which the power boards were constituted to perform.— (P.A.).
