The damaged liner Northumberland, in company with the tug Torn whit i, left Gisborne for Auckland at * 10.30 p.m. yesterday. The vessel is expected to proceed at about five knots an hour. — (P.A.). Many ladies in this district are all agog with excitement in connection with the forthcoming tour by Madame Menerc who will be bringing with her the Russian Real Golden Seal Coats bought by her in London, together with a very fine range of Natural Musquash, Real Mole and other fashionable furs.
