Miss L. A. Udy, of Petone, has been appointed to tho staff of tho Masterton West School,

Mr and Mrs C. L. Boale, of Masterton, are at present on a visit to Auckland.

The Education Board has advised the headmaster of the Masterton Distinct High School that Miss Suisted will shortly join tke staff of the school. Miss McLennan, a member of the staff, has been transferred to the Cole Street School.

Mr and Mrs C. D. King, of Masterton, aro leaving by the Manuka today on a holiday visit to Sydney. Mrs C. French, of Perth, Western Austral.a, is at present staying with friends in Maston-on Mrs French was better known, perhaps, as Miss Billio Wilson, the clever little soubrette of the original English Pierrots. Mrs French retired from tho stage upon her marriage, and her homo is on a sheep station some seventy miles from Perth. Mrs French, who .-is travelling with her husband, intends spending a few weeks in this country. It is interesting to note that all tho original lady members of the Pierrots have now married, and three of them to Australian squatters. Tho feminine portion of the new Company, which i& due in Masterton before very long, will be quite new. It is reported, however, to still be an exceedingly clever little combination, although no doubt the charm of Miss Elsa Langley and Miss BUlio Wilson must be much missed.
