It is .with sincere regret that ire (Wanganui Chronicle) have to announce the death of Mrs H. G. Forking, who passed away at Marton on Saturday. The deceased lady, who was a daughter of the late Mr S. H. Drew, was very highly esteemed by all who knew her, and the news of her death will cause much sorrow. A London cable states that a mass meeting of London school-teachers, who are dissatisfied with their pay, was held to hear Mr H. A. L. Fisher, Minister for Education. The meeting shouted down Mr Cobb, chairman of the London County Council's Education Committee, in spite of an appeal by the Bishop of London. Mr Fisher thereupon left the hall, and the meeting broke up in disorder.
