Interviewed here, he stated' that he was _ turning to ; Japan for help to rebuild Rumania, He was aware that Rumania's old and' trusted friend, Britain, was. unable* to help her, owing ,to her own war ravages. Rumania particularly needed ships and locomotives, and hoped to' secure them in exchange for corn and "oil. Nearly all the oil weliß had been repaired and great supplies were available. . . . The great bulk of the Rumanians* he said, abhorred the Bolshevik doo-. trines, in spite of the' proximity of Russia*.
