GENERAL CABLES.

England and France; PREMIER'S THANKS TO BRITAIN. (By Electrio Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Australian-KZ. Cable Association.) PARIS, March 26. Following upon M. Barthoii's outburst, M. Millerand expressed warm thanks to England £or her efforts on the coal question. There was much applause when ho declared that the Franco-British Alliance would remain unshaken. M. Barthou, with reservations, associated himself with M. Millerand'a statement. The newspapers generally approve of the strong French note in M. Barthou 's speech, but protest that his criticism of England and Mr. Lloyd George was carried too far.
