The judging day at the show indicated that deppit the drought, all records are likely to be broken. Eight thousand entries maintain the highest standard.
There was a strong display of cattle, and special interest ivas attached in the entry of Cluny Friesians. Although they only arrived from New Zealand after a rough trip they looked well, and secured second for yearling bull, third for three-year cow, and very highly commended for yearling heifer. 4 ' ■ Record sales of stud cattle are anticipated Already Simpson's "Clifton Cherry Colonel" bull has been for 1000 guineas
