Tho Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., Stock Department, report having held their weekly Carterton sale yesterday, the '26 th inst:—We yarded just on 2000 head of sheep and a good Wding of pigs ■ and almost 200 head Of cattle. Com- ' petition was keen on all classes of stock, especially 2-tooth wethers, woolly w.f. lambs, and / dairy heifers. There was a alrge attendance of buyers, and the bulk of the yarding was sold. Quotations: —Fat and forward wethers 28s to -295, fat lambs 28s 6d, b.f. 2-tooths 22s lOd, forward b.f. lambs to 19s 3d, shorn lambs 15s 6d to 17s, medium b.f. lambs 12s 9d to 15s, cull lambs 6s 7d to 13s, cull ewes lis to 15s 6d. CLEARING SALE. The Nemv Zealand Farmers' Co-op-erative Distributing Co., Ltd., report having held a most successful clearing sale on account of Mr James Taylor, at Martinborough, on Thursday, March 25th. A large attendance of buyers were present from all parts of the district, and competition was extremely keen for all lots offered.
