TINUI'S NEED
DAILY MALL SERVICE.. A matter that -has been causing considerable comment in the Tinui township and district, is its mail service. At? the present time" the motor car service to Tinui from Masterton, is daily, but on only three* days of the week are the mails carried. The matter came up for consideration at yesterday's meeting of the Tiflui branch of the Farmers' Union. Mr H. H. Ryder atated that under the present circumstances, he did not see why the mail should not be daily. Mr K. Groves spoke ta the same effect; •The Chairman (Me A.. J. Speedy) remarked that he thought the proposed change would he-'ft nuiaance to private bag owners. A member: "That difficulty could be easily got over by having two mail bags." . . Mr H. B. Maunsell stated that he was strongly in favour of a daily mail service to the Tinui Post Office. He did not see why 'the matter could not bo arranged. At the present time much business disorganisation was caused through the tri-weekly service. In reply to the query of the Chair-: man, a member intimated that the present mail contract was for three years. It had "commenced just be? fore Christmas. Mr I?.
