PAHIATUA SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their weekly Pahiatua sale on Tuesday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle to* a good attendance of buyers. The whole entry was disposed of under the hammer at the following prices:—4tooth wethers 32s to 32s 2d, 2 and 4tooth wethers 27s Bd, springing heifers £l2 10s, heifers in calf £ll 10s.
MASTERTON SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report on their weekly Masterton sale, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to a good attendance oi buyers. Competition was fairly keen. We quote.—2 and 4-tooth wethers 28s, b.f. 2-tooth wethers 26s 6d, cull ewes 12s 3d, cull shorn lambs 6s 3d, 18-months steers £6 2s 6d, empty cows £5, sheep dog 36s 6d. EKETAHUNA SALE. The Wairajapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., Stock Department, report on their Eketahuna sale held yesterday as follows: —We submitted a large yarding of sheep to a fair attendance of the public. Bidding was slow, except for lambs, which found a ready market, and we sole practically the whole yarding under the hammer. We quote:—4 and syi ewes 26s 6d, 23s 3d; 17s 6d, 16b«6d and 15s 9d, woolly lambs 19s 7d, shorn lambs 15s, 14s and 12s 6d, b.f. lambs. 15s Id and 14s 4d, cull lambs Bs, 7s 6d and 5s 9d, Romney rams sgns and 4gns, Lincoln rams Sgns, Southdown rams 4£gns, Signs and 2£gns, hacks £5. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna Bale as follows:—A small yarding of sheep ca"me forward to a small attendance of buyers. Competition at auction was dull. We quote:—4-tooth wethers 31s, 2-tooth wethers 245, 2-tooth ewes 275.
CLEAEING SALE. The.Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera tive Association, Ltd. (Stock Depart ment), report having held a mosi successful clearing sale on account oi Mr. _H. J. Cooper, of "-Ellesmere,' Opaki yesterday, when they offered th( whole of his winter herd o- first-clasr dairy cows to a good attendance oi the public. The herd of 32 cows, which came forward in splendid condition met with very keen competition, anc averaged £2"l 12s 6d.
