SURPLUS WAR STORES
SOLD IN ENGLAND
(By. Telegraph—Press Association.) (Australian-N.Z. Cable .Association.) Received Last Night, 7.30 o'clock. LONDON, March 23. 'uj Mr Kellaway, Deputy Minister of Munitions, speaking at Bedford', stated that the total realised by the sale of surplus war stores, and stores purchased on trading account, was £330,000,000, of which £125,000,000 represented the sale of wool, hides, etc., bought on trading account, from which the Exchequer benefited only to the extent of the profit made.
