MASTERTON STOCK SALE Messrs Wright, Stephenson & Co., Ltd., report having offered at the weekly Masterton sale on Wednesday, a good yarding of sheep and a heavy entry of cattle, including 274 head from Messrs Barton Bros., Mataikona Station. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the sale, taken throughout, was most successful. There was a.marked improvement, in the cattle market, the whole entry of about 500 head being sold under the hammer at prices well in advance of recent rates. Quotations: —Sheep: 2-tooth wethers. 25fl 6d, small 2-tooth wethers 18s to 21s, forward ewes 21s 6d to 245, shorn wether lamba 16s 'to" 17s 6d, b.f. lambs 16s 6d, small b.f, lambs 12s Id, mixed age" ewes 13s 3d to 15s 6d, cull ewes 10s.
