Addington Report.

(By Telegraph— Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At the AdcLngton market the yarding of fat sheep and lambs was slightly larger than usual, whilst store sheep were again in over supply. Fat cattle were also forward in more than the usual numbers, and there was a glut of store cattle. The tone of the market throughout was good. Store sheep,, yarding- about 33,000, including the West Coast and lines from other provinces. For these the demand was weak, but all the Canterbury bred lines met with a better market than the preceding week, particularly for good wethers. Foward lambs to 24s sd, ordinary 15s 7d to 20s, cull 8s 9d to' 14s Id, good halfbred ewe lambs to 80s Id, ordinary ewe lambs 20s to 26s 6d, good twotooth ewes 32s 6d- to 41s, ordinary two- tooth ewes 2os 6d to 31s, cull two-tooth ewes 14s 6d'to 22s M, good 4. 6 and r B-tooth ewes 30s to 30s 6d, low conditioned 19s 6d to 24s 6d, failing mouth ewes 16s 6d to '2la* 6d, sound mouthed ewes 26s 6d to 80s, good 6 and 8-tooth wethers 80s to 345, ordinary 6 and 8-tooth wethers 27 s fid to 29s 6d, good two-tooth wethers 27s 6d to 30s 6d, ordinary two-tooth wethers 22s to 275.

Fat Lambs.—44oo yarded, the quality be'ng better than usual. The market was firm throughout. Extra prime lambs 34s 9d to 38s Id, prime 29s 4d to 84b, medium 27s to 295, lighter lambs 20s 4d to 265.

Fat Sheep.—rA good yarding, which included some prime pens. The market was firm at last week's rates, Freezing buyers secured a good proportion of the entry. Extra prime wethers 44s to 49s 9d, prime 38s to 43s 6d, medium 33s 33 to 375, lighter 253 63 to 32s Gel, extra,prime ewes 43s 6d to 55s 6d, prime 36s 6d to 41s, medium 31s 3d to 35s 3d, lighter 25s lid to 30s 6d.

Fat Cattle,-—445 yarded. The market was firm throughout. Exporters were operating freely. Extra prime steers £25 10a to £27 10s, prime £2O to £24 15s, medium £l6 to. £l9, lighter £3 15s to £ls, prime hVfera £l4 to £l7 12s 6d, ordinary £7 2s 6d to £l3, orime cows £l3 5s 6d to £l7 2s 6d, ordinary. £lO 15s to £l2 17a 6d ! ,■ . u Store Cattle.—The overflow of yarding met with a" weaker demand. Four and five-year-old steers made to £l3 17s 6d, and three-year-olds to £lO 10s.

, Dairy Cattle.—-A strong demand for cows close to profit, springing heifers bring'ng up to £2O, whilst good dairy cows brottght up to £22 10s. Vealeis.—A good entry of veal calves, for which prices were firm, the market, being improved. One runr ners to £8 2s 6d, ordinary vealers £3' 12s. 6d to £4 6s, medium 30s to 455, small calves 7s 6d to 22s 6d.

Pigs.—A fair entry and improved demand. Extra heavy baconers to £lO, heavy £7 10s to £8 10s, ordinary £6 to £7, average price lid per lb; heavy porkers £5 5s to v £s 15s, ordinary £4 10s to £5 0s 6d, average price Is Id per lb; choppers £6 to £9.

Store Pigs.—A small,entry. Medium stores £3 to £3 15s, small 29a to 325, weanera 16s to 255. '

BUBNSIDE BEPOKT. DUNEDIN, Last Night. There was another decline in the price of fat stock at the Burnside stC | to-day, only prime stuff selling readily. Fat cattle.—There was a good yarding of fair quality, a total of 224 head being penned. Competition was not keen, and prices were slightly below those ruling last week. Prime bullocks made £2O to £24, medium £l6 to £l9, light and unfinished kinds £l4 up* wards; prime heifers mado £ls to £l7 10s, medium ,£l3 to £l4 10s, light and aged £9 10s upwards. . Store cattle.—An exceptionally large yarding, the number offered being much in excess of requirements. The demand was very slack, which was attributable in a great measure to the poor prospects of the winter feed. What few sales were effected were on a reduced basis of value, namely from 10s and 15s a head on lato rates.

Sheep.—A medium yarding, numbering 2215 head. The quality was very indifferent; an unusually small proportion being classed as prime. For All good quality sheep competition was active at prices from Is 6d to 2s per head in advance of last week's rates; "but this class of sheep was not numerous. Quite a number of sheep which were unsuitable for the trade word difficult to dispose of, and for this class reduced rates had to be accepted. Prime wethers mado -42s to 47s 6d, medium 36s to 41s, light and unfinished kinds from 28s upwards, extra prime heavyweight owes up to 455, prime 37s to 435, medium 31s to 353 6d, light and aged 24s upwards. Fat lambs.—A good yarding, of fair quality, a total of 1424 head being offered. A good demand existed for all lambs suitable for export. Freezing buyers were not keen operators, and for anything not really prime, prices were decidedly weaker. Prices ranged from 18s to 348 per head. Pigs.—A small yarding, which met with keen competition, and all classes were sold at prices well up to the high rate lately ruling. The best baconerß made from 11 Jd to Is per lb, and best porkers from Is to Is 1-Jd per lb.
