CALEDONIAN SOCIETY

LADIES' COMMITTEE. A meeting for the purpose of forming the Ladies' Committee for the ensuing year was held in the Caledonian Hall yesterday afternoon. Present: Mesdames James Walker, James Dona, W. J. Gibson, P. Cotter, H. Douglas, and Paterson, also the Misses Cotter, Shackleton, Ramsay, and McKenzie. Mr. E. H. Waddington (president) welcomed the ladies, and explained the business of the meeting. It was decided: "That all present, with power, to add, be the Ladies' Committee for the ensuing year." Mrs. Alexander Mutrie, was elected lady president, Mesdames James Donn and J, Walker vice-presidents, and Miss Shackleton secretary to the committee. It was decided that the entertainment for the juvenile Camerons be held in the social hall, Municipal Buildings, on Friday, April 9, to commence at 7 o'clock, and various subcommittees were set up to carry out the details.
