MASTERTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE

SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the Masterton School Committee was held last night Mr. A. Hendry was in the chair, and there were also present Messrs W. Nicol, J. E. Calwell, F. Redman, W. Noble, D. Threadwell, and E. H. Waddington. The following resolution was unanimously carried: "That, the secretary wire Mr. Stewart, secretary of tho Education Board, asking whether Colo Street School District had, been dofined, as the committee strongly objects to the boundaries as reported by the Press." Several applications for the position of assistant at the Cole Street School were submitted for the approval of tho Committee, and it was decided to recommend Miss Udy, of Petone, for the appointment,
