GOVERNMENT SEEKS A
SOLUTION.

The Sunday Timds says the Government is inquiring unofficially as to how the abandonment of the Catholic Church's opposition to the Home Rule Bill can be secured. An intermediary has learned that the ultimate attitude of the Church will depend upon the safeguards provided for Catholic education throughout Ireland.- Apparently, therefore, partition is at present an insuperable barried, as an Ulster Parliament cannot assure adequate consideration of educational interests.
