Lowe was handicapped by an injury to his leg. Olliver and Brown gave a surprisingly ,'ood exhibition, considering that they had no previous practice together. The final score was in favour of tho visitors, I—6, 7—5, 6—3, 6—3. Gray Young, the Otago player, took one set, and Beamish tho other singles game at 6 —£, but Beamish won the next two, 6 —3, B—l.
