CALEDONIAN SOCIETY
MEETING OF DIRECTORS
The ordinary monthly meeting of Directors of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held last night, Present: Messrs A. J. Giddings (chair), Messrs Wyeth, J. B. MeKenzie r W. L. Hosking, E. McEwen, Geo. McKay, James Allan, W. J. Gibson, R. J. Southgate, H. MacKenzie Douglas, J. A. Shackleton, James Walker, lan uamcron and Pipe-Major Macdonald. • The following sub-committees were appointed for the ensuing year: — Finance: W. J. Gibson, H. McK. Douglas, R. J. Southgate. Programme: J. B. McKenzie, W. J. White, A. If. Hosking. Piping and dancing: Pierce Cotter, Jas. Donn, Alex. Miller; Concert, Orchestra, and Ingleside: Jas. Allan, lan Cameron, Geo. McKay. Protest: E. McEwon, W. Rutherford, T. Flanncry. It was decided to recommence the juvenile dancing classes immediately after Easter, and Miss May Thorn, of Mutauia was appointed instructress, It was decided to arrange for. an entertainment for the juvenile Camerons, Pipe Band, and Orchestra at an early date, and that the Ladies' Committee be called for Wednesday afternoon next to make the necessary arrangements on behalf of the directors. Mr. E. McEwen was granted leave, of absence for the purpose of visiting Scotland, and was given a special invitation to the forthcoming entertainment. It was reported . that the Cameron Park would be hardly ready by next New Year's Day, and it was j decided to engage the Public Park for ! the annual gathering.
