The Minister, of Education, reviewing the year's work in the schools, said the, medical inspections scheme gave some striking results. In one of the suburban 'schools 75 per cent. of the children who were examined suffered from defects in the throat and nose, while in another 600 out of 800 had some physical disorder. Though the figures are startling, they are.not alarming, because the bulk' of the defects discovered may be remedied if taken in time.
