BEQUESTS IN HIS WILL.
(Received Last Night, 10.15 o"clock.) ROME, December 30.
The late Cardinal Rampolla's first will included large personal bequests to Pope Leo and other legatees now long dead. The Cardinal was not on speaking terms with Baroness Pezzana for the last year.
It is understood that the Vatican waives the,,, claim of extra territoriality tor the Piazzeta ■ Santamarla, where Cardinal Rampolla died. Though it is within the precincts, Italian police are free to investigate.
