The Eev. D. 0. Bates, of tbt Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows:—
The barometric pressure is now about normal everywhere, and fair to cloudy weiitUer has prevailed. High temperatures have been reported in many parte ■ of the country. The winds have been variable and mostly moderate. Present indications are for a temporary rise in the barometer preceding a decided fall before the end of the- week, when a westerly low pressure is line to pass in the south with winds variable, but westerly prevailing, and changing to increasing northerlies after from 24 to 36 hours, the skies changeable and misty at times, but fair to cloudy generally with warm and humid conditions.
