WOODVILLE SHOW.

In another column the Bush districts A. and P. Association advertise their popular show, to.t&ke place on Wednesday, January 28th. This is WoodviUe's "day out," and a particularly attractive programme is pro- - this year. The usual horse competitions always draw big otries, of the best, and a new addition to the programme in the shape of a tern-mile motor cycle race should prove intensely exciting. • ' • > One feature of the tWoodville Show, which always excites comment, is the lovely surroundings in which it w held. A prettier ground than the Woodville racecourse would be hard to find. Besides the flowers and shrubs in the immediate vicinity of the lawn, there-is unfolded to the eye a lovely green landscape backed by elusjvely tinted hills. Plenty of tree shade makes the fixture ideal for picnicking, in connection with which it it as well to note that excursion farea are available from Waipukura.u, Masterton, Palmerston, and intermediate stations. It is well worth a breeder s while to look over the prize schedule. The district is justly famous for its dairying, but it must not be forgotten that the latest sheep returns credit the Woodville district with nearly 100,006 sheep, which should prove that there is a good field for the stud sheep breeder.
