TOWN HALL PICTURES.

"THE LAST OF THE OLD MILL."

Notwithstanding the inclement weather there was a,. big attendance at the Town Hall last evening, to witness the change programme -submitted by the Masterton Picture Company. "The Last of the Old Mill" proved a highly attractive and deeply interesting feature, and the verdict went ou7~ that the drama is one of the most powerfully realistic yet screenedTn Masterton. The supporting films were also a splendid lot, embracing the very best' productions of the picture manufacturers of the world. Worthy of special' mention are the Kalem special "Victim of Heredity" (a study in criminalogy) "Bernin Railway" (educational), "Jim and Gipsy Maid" and "Warwick Chronicle." The programme provides every branch of entertainment," from thrilling drama to ridiculous comedy, and assisted materially' by the beet of music, makes for a very enjoyable show. The programme will be submitted again this evening.

THOMPSGtN-PAYNE PICTURES.

"A SICILIAN TRAGEDY."

Picture lovers who found their way in largo numbers .to the Masterton Electric Theatre last evening found a cosy refuge from the weather, and wore shown a most acceptable sefrios of films. The big feature was a Oines production entitled "A Siciliaii Tragedy," and its popularity was evidenced by the appreciation shown it. "An Indian's Appreciation": was a Lubin production giving an exciting account of an Indian romance in the West. "The Way of the World'' was a pathetic A.B. production. "The Harem of Haschem" was an. excellent play of Oriental life. The Selig Company presented a pathetic military romance entitled "Songs of Truce." This is a stdry, common at the time of the American Civil War, of a family divided, one brother lighting for the T'nion and one for the Confederate army. At the close of the war they forget their differences, and the home is once mode a .scene of happiness. Several other interesting pictures included "Taming a Bachelor" (comedy), "Amsterdam" (scenic), "A Cinema Tragedy' 1 (comedy), "A Pair of Handcuffs" (comedy), and "The Wrong Handbag" (comedy). This excellent Series will be shown again this evening,
