THOMPSON-PAYNE PIBTURES. THE ROSE OF THEBES. Despite counter attractions and the state of the weather, a very large audience was present at the Thomp-son-Payne Pictures. An excellent bill of fare was presented, and included the Cines Company's latest production "The Rose of Thebes." This was a sumptuously mounted subject with a striking plot in court life in Egypt. The story is most fascinating and should prove a b:g draw. A very lino military episode was shown in the Solax production "An Enlisted Man's Honour." The Selig Company presented an admirable se-« lection in "A Prison of Cabanas," which was a clever Mexican romance. "A Rich Revenge" was a clever com-edy-drama in which Dolly Nicholson plays a most' capable part. "Eclair Journal" gave the latest fashions and topics. Other interesting films were "The Herring Industry" and "The Village of Simplon." A splendid array of comedies were included in "Catch Your Own Fish" (Urban), "Sammy the Scorcher" (Lux), "Bloomer Mends Plates" and "Sammy as Decorator" (Urban). This line series will. be shown again this evening.
