MILLS AGAIN.
The mills of tho gods may grind slowly, but Mills of Milwaukee grinds exceeding small. We quoted some of his remarks on the Federation of Labour yesterday. Here is some more of h:s opinion in 191*2:
"There has been an effort, not made by the New Zealanders themselves, to capture those large unions whose strategic position gave them very great power, and to use that power through their .joint capacity to paralyse industry, to secure by compulsion advantages for themselves to the utter neglect of the workers less fortunately related to the whole life of tho country. If you will call the roll of the "spokesmen among 1 these people, you will discover that those who represent the plans and programmes utterly repudiated by TTTe labour movement in Australia, in Great Britain, and in the United States, are themselves men recently come from these countries, and are earnestly striving to reestablish here schemes which have utterly failed Oin. thdir own hands in those otiier countries." This was W!. T. Mills in 1912. Where is the "Professor" now?'
