BUTTER HANDLING.
ENQUIRY INTO LONDON METHODS. 'Times' —'Sydney Sun * Special Cablet. (Received Dec. 4, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 3. The colonial Agents-General are making exhaustive inquiries into every branch of the butter handling business connected with the shipping, Port of London Authority, railways, and Tooley Street. The president of the Wholesale Grocers 5 Association states that widely divergent views have been expressed, and the different suggestions made are bewildering. The committee though obtained a mass of information which will be beneficial to butter exporters.\| The committee expects to finish its enquiries in a fortnight. It did not elicit any direct evidence of any ring controlling prices, which are mounting.: .
