FIRE IN WELLINGTON.
(Bu Telegraph—Prm Attociabion.) ■ WELLINGTON, Last Night
Shortly before 4 o'clock this morning fire broke out in a two-storey wooden bin/ding in Lower Molesworth street, included in the Hotel Cecil lease, and occupied as a.' boarding house by Miss Louisa Rowe. The flames spread to an ndj6ining house, also two storey, also occupied by Miss Rowe in connection with her business, and by Standidge, painters and paperhangers. Before the flames were suppressed considerable damage was done, both buildings and contents "being severely damaged. The insurance- on the latter building, owned by W. H. Short, of Nelson, amount to £llOO in the Sun office, and the contents in the Atlas for £285. The former building is insured in the Norwich Union office for £9OO. Miss Rowe has no insurance on the contents, but Strandidge's stock is in sured in the Yorkshire office for £SOO.
