NAPIER- WOOL SALE
(By Telegraph — Press Association.) NAPIER, Last Night.
The first wool sale of the season was held t<*-day, before a full bench of buyers, numbering 39. Catalogues totalled 14,820 bales, as against 12,000 for the first aale last season. Prices showed a drop of Id to 2d, in sympathy with the Auckland sale. Competition was keen up to a certain figure, but high quality wool .was passed in in the hope, of an early rise in.prices. The wool was not nearly in saich good condition as last year, being heavy in grease.
