MOVEMENTS OF SHIPPING
WELLINGTON, Last Night
Good work in handling the cargo on the wharves was accomplished on Saturday, in spite of some delay caused by the rain. ~ The steamer Canada Cape, from San Francisco, was berthed, and commenced discharging, while the overcas ships Sturmfels and Herculo were also busy, as well as a number of coastal vessels.
The Home liner Opawa completed loading wool and hemp, and was ready to leave for London to-day, but owing to some of her firemen deserting last night, the vessel is now held up in the .stream.'
The Wairuna finished unloading ooal fdr the gas company at Mirajnar last night and got a-Avay this morning for Fiji to load fruit and sugar for Auckland and Wellington, of the Navua.
