CARTERTON STOCK SALE,
Messrs W, and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly stock sale in their Carterton sale yards on Friday; November 28th, when they offered a very good yarding of cattle, sheep and pigs. * They also offered about 20 horaea on account of different vendors;. There was a very big attendance of buyers present, and competition was keen throughout, consequently the whole yarding of cattle, sheep ajnd pigs was sold under the hammer at prices very satisfactory to vendors. Among our horse entry wo offerer! on account of Mr Joseph Cadwaliader his team of draught mares and geldings, which all sold well. The following prices were realised: — '
Sheep: 2-tooth ewes ami wethers (shorn) 17s,'store ewes Bs. Pigs.: Weanerg li>«, porkers 22s to 275, baconers ■SSs.'
