Cablet's ' Xast Night, 5.5 o'clock.):--CAPETOWN; November 29. Miss Gertrude Benham. has crossed Africa afoot.
Starting at ( Forcados, at the mouth of the Niger river, she passed through Nyassaland, and finished the journey at Zomba. Her companions were a cook, a boy, and seven, porters, all of whom were absolutely unarmed. Excepting for a few worries with the porters,* Miss Benham was subjected to no annoyance of any sort, and the party was free from fever. ,
