WAIPOUA STOCK SALE. Messrs K. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua ; Masterton) Saleyards on. Wednesday, 26th inst., when they offered a. good yarding of sheep and cattle well above advertised numbers. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was fairly keen throughout but vendors' prices on several lines of cattle were above buyers ideas, consequently there was not a clearance, although the bulk of the yarding changed hands at the following prices: 2-tooth ewes and wethers (shorn) 13s 7d, forward empty shorn ewes lis 9d to 13s. 6d, s potter rams lis 6d, .24-year, steers £5 Bs, 2-year-old empty heifers £3 14s to £3 17s 6d, cows and cal\;es £4 to £4 3#, store cows £3 5s to £3 15s, small 12month steers £2 to £2 10s, small do. heifers £1 10s to £1 16s. On account of Mr H. T. Hume, Polled Angus bulls 17gns to 17£gns. SOLWAY STOCK- SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd,, report having held their usual weekly sale at Solway on Wednesday, 26th inst.,' when there was the usual attendance, and only a small yarding of stock. An entry of cattle on account of Mr W. M. Laing, Riversdale, came forward in good condition, and met with keen competition being eventually sold as follows: 3year" bullocks £7, 2-year steers £5 4s, yearling steers' £3 10s. STOCK MARKET. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Pahiatua, report on their Pahiatua stock sale held on Tuesday, 25th inst., as follows: We had a small yarding of sheep and a large one of cattle, which we offered to a. fair attendance of buyers. We have to report a good sale at prices ruling in other centres.
