NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows: A westerly stoivn area passed in the south on Saturday and Sunday, and rain has fallen in many naits of _ the country. Mild and humid conditions have prevailed, and much mist and fog are reported this evening. The barometer has fallen again to-day. Present indication.? are for moderate to strong northerly winds', changing by west to south after from 24 to 36 hours, with dull and misty weather with rain in many parts of the country. The barometer has a falling tendency, but will probably rise in the south in about 24 hours.
