SUCCESS DREDGING CO
• The dredgemaster of the Success dredge reports under date November 9th:—l beg to report a short run. of 95 hours for a return of 27ozs ]d#t. This return was again won from the north end half of the cut, and was seriously reduced through Government boiler inspection and a, big flood which brought in a lot of silt into the paddock which we had to cb'edge out. The flood, and boiler inspection, no doubt was wholly responsible for the reduced return, as there appears to be no change in the/blue wash we have been on this last few : . weeks. 1 Everything at the dredge is running well. I don't know how long we will be a)ble to keep going if the striice continues, owing to all the coal mines being closed down. Just prior to the Brunner men coming out, we ordered 50 tons to be delivered at once. Whether we will get it or not, I. cannot say until next week. However., let us hope the strike will soon be off.
