TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night., The Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows: Unsettled and cloudy weather has with heavy rain in most parts. The barometer has fallen everywhere since Sunday, and northerly and easterly winds, strong to gale, have predominated. Present indications are for unsettled and boisterous weather, with further heavy rain generally and rivers rising.. Strong westei'ly winds are probable northwards/ of New Plymouth and Xapier, and ■northerly prevailing elsewhere, changing to southerly shortly., The, barometer will rise soon, but only temporarily.
